Rabun County sits in the northeastern part of Georgia and is full of beautiful lakes with Lake Burton, Lake Rabun and Seed Lake being the most popular.. There are also numerous waterfalls in the area and the Georgia landmark, Tallulah Falls. In addition to the lakes and waterfalls there are tons of hiking trails. A short drive from Atlanta, will bring you to small town living, with great camping spots in the Appalachian Mountains with all the necessities of being in a big city Clayton has a ton of fantastic restaurants, shopping and is a quick drive to Highlands, NC.

Lake Burton is the largest of the lakes with 62 miles of shoreline and has some of the most prestigious homes in the state. If you're looking for luxurious lake living a Lake Burton home is for you. Lake Burton Real Estate starts around $300,000 for lake-access up into multi-million dollar estates. A short drive to Hiawassee, Helen, Clayton or Clarkesville Georgia - this lake is the central point for entertainment in the area. Lake Rabun is the second largest of the three main lakes with 25 miles of shoreline. As you drive the winding forest roads you're taken to a mesmerizing place filled with luscious trees and floral. The city of Clayton is a short drive with tons of wonderful restaurants and some "big box" retailers such as Walmart, The Home Depot and Ingles. Historically, Lake Rabun real estate can be slightly less than Lake Burton real estate, but due to low supply, homes are steadily increasing in price.

Last, but certainly not least, Seed Lake is a quaint lake that connects the two larger lakes, Lake Burton and Lake Rabun in the series of lakes that follow the original riverbed of the Tallulah River, it has 13 miles of shoreline and is a great place to get a lake home in a more affordable price point. Seed Lake Real Estate is is a great alternative to someone who wants to be in the area but might cannot afford a Lake Rabun Home or Lake Burton home or who just enjoys vibe Seed Lake offers.
